The vibration problems and solutions encountered by Pavo20 are consistent with Pavo Pico. Please refer to Pavo Pico DJI O3 Vibration Problem.

Moreover, the integrated injection molding HD VTX mounting bracket boasts the utilization of an insert copper nut, facilitating effortless installation, equipped with half-thread screws for eliminating the trouble of adjusting the tightness of the screws, which also enhances anti-vibration and ensuring stable and smooth HD images. At the same time, it can be adapted to the Pavo Pico.

Flight Controller

Our F4 2-3S 20A AIO FC V1 features an ESC with a peak current of 25A, ensuring stable operation of the FC even in the event of motor stalling. The addition of a 9V 2A BEC power supply ensures the stable operation of the DJI O3 HD VTX when the battery voltage is low. It also includes a DJI O3 6-pin PMU allowing for connection to HD VTX without soldering. It integrates features such as a 16MB black box, with support for GPS, external receivers, and other devices. The redesigned solder pad layout and USB connector make installation and maintenance easier and more convenient.

Pavo Series COB LED Strip

The Pavo Series COB LED Strip is a 5V-powered LED strip measuring 560 mm*4 mm. It provides increased visibility and facilitates easy observation of the drone's flight by the pilots during nighttime or poorly lit conditions, which also enhances operational safety, It can be securely mounted on the frame whoop duct, adding unique lighting effects and a visually captivating appearance. We're excited to announce the release of our latest creation, the Pavo20/Pavo Pico Brushless Whoop Quadcopter! This tiny but mighty 2S drone is perfect for all the passionate pilots out there. With a weight of just 100g and equipped with 45mm propellers, it's a cinewhoop that packs a punch. And with its F4 2-3S 20A AIO FC V1, the flying experience is taken to new heights.

Plus, our split design HD VTX mounting bracket allows for easy installation of popular HD digital VTX modules. And thanks to the rubber damper vibration-damping design and GyroFlow stabilization software, you can expect smooth and stable HD images. Whether you're flying indoors or outdoors, this drone is the perfect choice for some serious cruising.

We upgrade the FC board since the second batch, details are below:

HD Digital VTX System

Pavo Pico supports various types of HD VTX. DJI O3 and Walksnail Avatar Pro Kit both support HD digital VTX up to 1080P using dual-band transmission technology for better signal stability. The Vista Kit supports digital signal transmission for HD video up to 720P, with low latency and superior image quality performance. It's compact and lightweight, making it great for small drone installation, and compatible with various remote controls and monitors. The customized HD VTX mounting bracket has a split design, making it effortless to install for pilots DIY, and explore more possibilities while ensuring HD image quality.

ND Filter for DJI O3 Camera

BETAFPV ND Filter for DJI O3 Camerais specifically designed for the Pavo Pico Brushless Whoop Quadcopter. Meanwhile, the DJI O3 Air Unit ND Filters are tailored for the DJI O3 Air Unit and are capable of reducing the amount of light that enters the camera lens. With this feature, you can achieve slower shutter speeds or wider apertures when flying. These lightweight filters are crafted from high-quality optical class ensuring optimal image clarity and are too easy to install on the build. 

Pavo Pico Frame Kit

We used ultra-light PP material to make the HD VTX mounting bracket, increasing its toughness. The antenna fixing slot and frame have been fused to reduce damage risk, while the camera's installation height has been lowered with a protective printed part to limit its movable angle to within 30°. Additionally, an O3 filter can be used to protect the lens and enhance image quality. We have incorporated a unique rubber damper vibration-damping design, used with GyroFlow stabilization software, which greatly enhances safety and ensures a smooth, HD image output. When you screw the die-cast screws, please DO NOT screw them too tight to leave room for rubber dampers to absorb vibration. It may cause jello in the video footage.

DJI O3 Vibration Problem

To tackle the challenge of vibration on many whoop drones, the  DJI O3 unit is mounted on a carbon fiber plate with 4 rubber dampers.This innovative design ensures peak performance and perfect stability.

Troubleshooting:

To improve video quality when recording with DJI O3 HD VTX, turn off its electronic stabilization and use GyroFlow stabilization software.

When fixing the HD VTX bracket with M1.4*10 screws, ensure that the nut just touches the shock-absorbing ball.

The Jello effect may occur during the above installation due to 2 reasons:

• The VTX bracket is over-tightened with the screw and the rubber dumper is totally deformed. To solve this, make sure that the screw is tightened just enough to touch the shock-absorbing ball and keep the ball and bracket loose.

• If It is a large deformation of the frame or quadcopter blades, replace the frame or blades with larger vibrations if necessary.

Note: use acetate tape to bind motor wires and prevent them from drooping and interfering with the propeller's rotation.

Upgrade Low Profile Design

After collecting feedback through theBETA TEST, we lowered the height of the HD VTX mounting bracket and whoop duct from 60.6mm to 51.5mm and the battery compartment results in a more low profile on the cinewhoop. 

Pilots can further customize their cinewhoop with DIY options such as battery straps or printable components, allowing for compatibility with a variety of battery sizes. This enables pilots to tailor and enhance their cinewhoop to meet their specific requirements and preferences. Steps as follow:

Flight Controller

We upgraded the FC fromF4 1S 12A AIO FC V3to F4 2-3S 20A AIO FC V1. The upgraded FC features an ESC with a plus overcurrent capacity of 35A,ensuring stable operation of the flight controller even in the event of motor stalling. The addition of a 9V 2A BEC power supply ensures the stable operation of the DJI O3 HD VTX when the battery voltage is low. It also includes a DJI O3 6-pin PMU allowing for connection to HD VTX without soldering. It integrates features such as a 16MB black box, with support for GPS, external receivers, and other devices. The redesigned solder pad layout and USB connector make installation and maintenance easier and more convenient.

Note: The second batch FC starts in August 2023. And If you use the F4 2-3S 20A AIO FC V1, the serial port of the SBUS receiver is UART5 while F4 1S 12A AIO Brushless FC V3 is UART6.

We also have extended the USB port to the end for easier parameter adjustment and wiring. And a new DJI O3 6-pin PMU has been added for convenient installation and maintenance.

Power system

The 1102 14000kv motor brings stronger power and lower noise, delivering abundant thrust and impressive speed that enable effortless execution of aerial maneuvers. Paired with the high-performance Gemfan 45mm propeller, this power system achieves superb balance, ensuring powerful lift and stable flight, while also providing precise and responsive control. The combination of these power systems makes it an excellent choice for Pavo Pico, allowing pilots to easily accomplish filming tasks.

Carbon Fiber VTX Adapter

We found that the installation dimensions of the Vista and Avatar HD Pro digital VTX modules closely match those of the O3 digital VTX. Thus, Installing a carbon plate with mounting holes that measure 20x20mm is sufficient to mount both digital VTXs. Install quickly and effortlessly, while meeting pilots' various DIY needs, and exploring more possibilities for flying.
